Canada’s First Olympic Gold Medal- Victory never tasted so sweet ( Monday Feb 15th 2010)
Yes, today I was going to blog about the Bachelor but alas something has taken over…good old Canadian pride. I can’t stop watching the Olympics.
From the opening ceremonies ( including a hydraulic that couldn’t light the stadium cauldron..hey, we can only build a space arm) to Wayne Gretzky’s trek through town on the back of a pick up ( so Canadian) Only in Canada, would there be so little security.
Good old Canadian boy Wayne smiled ( or tried to smile with ala Janet Jones botox injections) at well wishing protesters and junkies with needles sticking out of their arms ran beside the truck.
And how about that first gold medal win??? On home soil! Woohoo.
Alexandre Bilodeau moguls triumph was only made sweeter as Australia’s Dale Begg Smith ( I can’t believe this guy use to be Canadian!) psychotically glared on. I maturely screamed at my tv set haha.
