Okay, grief councilors should have been standing by. How sad is it that the winter Olympics are over? They were the best games ever. When CTV showed the Olympic montage this morning- I have to admit I was pretty choked up.
The only fly in the ointment - the closing ceremonies- sheesh- what was that? Where the hell was Jim Carey, David Foster Cirque du Soleil and Celine Dion? Did they want more money?? If that’s what it came down to, then shame on them! Hats off to the likes of Neil Young, Alanis, Avril, Nickleback, etc for not being too “busy” to answer their celebrity call of duty.
The Olympic games, of course, were capped off by Team Canada’s victory over the US in men’s hockey 3-2 .I was nervous eating and drinking the whole time…an emotional wreck but the pain and suffering was well worth it. How great was it watching all sorts of people across our great land screaming, hugging, singing and breathing a massive collective sigh of relief. One more time- Go Canada Go!!! Sniff sniff
