MIKE BULLARD UNCENSORED
Letters to Judy and management about the cancellation

To Whom it may concern,

What a disappointment this so called licensee partner is by killing a show that was made available to US subscribers on Channel 153 as part of their subscription service. Granted the Howard Stern shock jock had a large following in the USA, but the Mike Bullard Unplugged show had more appeal to me as I wrote off Howard Stern after his former CBS Television Saturday night show of misfits and utter nonsense polluted the air.

If XM Radio expects subscribers to make a 1-3 year commitment for service it goes hand in hand that the same is expected from the provider. This show was in it's infancy and just establishing itself in the market place when it was pulled off the air prematurely.

I am a Canadian XM subscriber, got hooked on XM via AOL with XM via the Internet and now have Canadian Unit in my car and Home.

sincerely,
Chuck- Winnipeg

To whom it may concern

I was totally disappointed to find out Mike Bullard Uncensored was cancelled from your station programming. I can't believe that you would cancel what has to be your biggest draw to the station. They were the only reason I came back to listen to xm153. When you switched their scheduled time I switched with them. When they did not return after their vacation I went to your web site for information and found none. I started googling them to find out what was going on and was shocked to find out they had been fired. Since you did not post anything for the subscribers about the cancellation it leaves me to believe you do not care about us.

Is there no tracking system in place as to what market share of the listeners are tuning into your station and when? It would seem to me that as a digital subscription service that it would be very easy to track in comparison to the free air stations. As a subscriber of two radios and a grass roots promoter of the idea of satellite radio. I would question this decision. Knowing that many of the stations are run out of one building/company like so many ground based radio stations I have to blame XM Canada as a whole for your poor management decisions. The service as a whole is not what I thought it would be with many local areas having reception issues and many of the stations being very repetitive in their programming.

When I first subscribed to satellite radio your station was my favorite for the first two weeks but then I noticed a lot of repetitiveness. I recently listened on my way into work in the morning and on my way home later in the day and still no NEW material. I should not be able to recite that comedian's dialog word for word! It has gotten to the point that I don't know why I am paying for what has started to become an inferior product when I can go back to playing my iPod with current musical and comic entertainment downloads with out any loss of service black out areas. If Mike, Judy and Lawrence were smart (which I think they are) I would expect them to by-pass the big business of radio and jump right to podcasting over the internet on a subscription service or a pay per download setup.
But if you listen to the public like letters like this and manage to get the show back on the air keep in mind that they should be given better promotion and marketing with a real time website and actual advertising outside the other xm channels!

To The Decision Makers at Laugh Attack,

As an avid listener & consumer of XM Radio, I ask you to consider my opinion on a very serious matter.

During my weekly five-hour commute from New York to Massachusetts. I consistently listen to the comedy offerings on XM Radio.

Without question, your best offering was the Mike Bullard show, mostly because of the hilarious sparks created by the three on-air personalities.

Lawrence, Judy & Mike possessed a stimulating chemistry that was unique, witty, and worthy of praise on a daily basis.

They created humor in a live setting so consistently that they quickly developed a loyal fan base in both Canada & the USA.

How could you cancel such a brilliant show?

I may be able to understand your strategy had you replaced the Mike Bullard show with something better, but you haven't.

Instead of their current & dynamic humor on a daily basis in a live setting, you have scheduled older canned bits by comedians your audience has heard over and over.

In fact, even though I only listen (at length) on Mondays & Thursdays, I often experience repetition.

As I'm sure you understand, the effect of humor on the human animal is best realized when the scenarios and lines are new & fresh.

Unlike music, which can produce pleasure with repeated listenings, humor loses much of its worth if the listener already knows the punchlines.

That's what you have done by cancelling the Mike Bullard show.

You have reduced the worth of Laugh Attack.

Even though I'm paying the same fee to use your service, I'm getting less for my money.

This strategy of yours appalls me to such an extent that I'm considering cancelling my subscription to XM Radio all together.

Unless you can provide me with a reasonable explanation for cancelling the Mike Bullard show, I will withdraw my subscription.

Please respond ASAP.

Respectfully,
Gary- MA

Greetings,

I wish to voice my displeasure over the cancellation of the Mike Bullard Uncensored show. I've been an avid listener since it began airing, and I'm incredibly unhappy about the show's cancellation. Out of all the shows on XM, The Mike Bullard Uncensored show was far and away my favorite. I never cared for shows like Opie and Anthony or Ron and Fez, they just come across as too abrasive and rude, something I've never felt while listening to Mike Bullard Uncensored. They josh and kid, and there's always a smile and a wink to everything they say.

Mike Bullard Uncensored was about the only thing keeping me as an XM subscriber at this point, and it's cancellation does not bode well for my future intention to remain an XM subscriber. Please take into consideration the idea of returning Mike Bullard and his gang to the XM airwaves, and know it would keep at least one XM subscriber loyal and happy.

They were just fun to listen to, and kept the monotony that is my job at bay for two great hours every day.

thank you for reading this email,

Dear sirs;

I cannot believe that you cancelled the Mike Bullard show! When Sirius and XM spend so much money on talent like Oprah, Opie and Anthony and Ellen Degeneres, I am sickened that you could not keep what, in comparison, seems like small potatoes. The show was a nice alternative with good chemistry among its crew! I listened to this show a lot and was bothered that it was moved from morning to afternoon, then even more bothered when it was moved right off the air!! I guess it is a shame there is no real ratings system for satellite radio.

Guess what...my XM subscription is up in the next few days...I am canning the sub and listening to Opie and Anthony on Free FM from now on...I have a Sirius tuner which I will be listening to until XM and Sirius merge (if ever), then that one goes too.

Sincerely,

Good morning, Mike Bullard show. Cancelled On XM RADIO “Unfortunately Due to budget constraints the show is cancelled”. I went to the XM Online nothing mentioned that. I had to search for it nothing mentioned on my receiver at there regular time slot. I am not sure what you were thinking. I guess you don’t plan on people renewing there yearly contract with Xm Canada.

The Mike Bullard Show was a nice refreshing SAT radio show Judy Lawrence and Mike made it most enjoyable.

I find it very distasteful is that you picked one of Mike, Lawrence and Judy guests to fill in a spot of there’s last evening. Ben Miller after they invite a guest on you see he needs some work he will work for peanuts so we cancel there show give this guy some peanuts and bang we can fill one spot, then we just do re-runs after re-runs of comedians. I heard the same comedians, the same jokes 3 times in less then 24 hours. Is that all you can afford, is that what our money is being used for an annoying comedians and re-runs? That is annoying, I switched the SAT radio of and listened to commercials for an hour on my ride home.

You need to rethink this your decisions wisely first better notify the customers so they are not wasting there time trying to find out what happened. Here is a hint keep making really bad mistakes like this and you too will be unemployed because XM RADIO listeners deserve QUALITY not average talent.

You had three very funny people that worked there and they will be missed, but they will not be out of a job long, because if I was Sirius satellite Canada I would be all over bringing them over.

Even if it’s a few months before you guys merge or go Broke.

I know that I will not receive a response from XM Canada but I deserve one!

Judy, Laurence and Mike:

I wanted to let you know how disappointed I was to hear that Mike Bullard: Uncensored has been cancelled from XM.

As a 25 year veteran of radio ( I quit a year ago), I was truly and honestly laughing with your show every single day. XM has made a huge mistake and count me in to help bring back the show in any way I can.

The main reason I quit radio was due to the constant pressure of being PC with every single freaking word that came out of my mouth. That and the fact that the group of stations is run by corporate hacks.

If there are ANY calls to make, letters to write or emails to send, just send me any and all information necessary and I'll be on it like "white on rice".

Good luck and I hope to hear the three of you on the air again soon.

To whom it may concern,

I cannot stress enough my utter disappointment with the cancelling of "Mike Bullard Uncensored". I actually looked forward to my drive home each night. They made me cry with laughter and each and every night! It was simply the best show on XM and on radio ...period.

How you could not find a way to continue to broadcast such an outstanding piece of entertainment shows a serious failure of your management. Mike, Judy and Lawrence did their part, they delivered a quality and very entertaining show. We as listeners did our part by spreading word about the show and I can attest that many of my friends signed up for XM after hearing from me about the show.

If you approved this decision, then you should be ashamed. You have failed, ...failed to recognize how precious this group of talented performers is, failed to recognize how important the program you had was to your listeners, failed to do your part by managing the business so that they could continue to be heard, and you have failed your listeners who love this fantastic trio. I hate to say it but I am no longer as passionate about XM and am now considering ending my subscription.

Sincerely,
Ron

Greetings, another great move in Canadian entertainment. It's about time
that XM cancelled Bullard Uncensored . As a XM subscriber, of two years, I
am getting tired of listening to intelligent, and absolutely hilarious
programming. I much prefer listening to XM 153 Laugh Attack and hearing sub-
standard comedians. Thank you for saving my life, because when I listened to
The Bullard show, often times I would laugh to tears, making it difficult to
drive, as it impaired my vision. Now, thank GOD( XM RADIO), I can listen to
XM 153 and not suffer such a fate. THANK YOU! As Canadians, we should not
expose our witty humour to Americans, because you and I know, they don't get
it. I could tell that my the many phone calls Bullard Show received from
Americans stating that the Bullard show was the funniest show on the radio.
When will the U.S. ever wake up?

Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for not exposing me to
side splitting humour, my sides have split enough already as my guts are
protruding. I can't wait hear the Howard Stern Show on your wonderful
channel, to hear Stern's unfunny, and stale comedy antics grace the Canadian
airwaves. That will be sooooo unfunny, it won't upset anyone!

All the best to Mike, Judy and Lawrence, they can hold their heads up high
and say that they did the best they could. But, unfortunately, being
extremely funny and innovative just doesn't cut it anymore. Lets get back to
the same old "comedy" crap, and we can all hope that noone comes along and
opens up our minds to new and exciting things. I like my mind closed at all
times.

To Whom It May Concern:
RE: Mike Bullard Uncensored
I just wanted to send a quick note stating how disappointed I am that Mike Bullard Uncensored has been canceled from the XM Laugh Attack lineup. I thought it was a great show and daily anticipated getting into my vehicle and listening to Mike, Lawrence, and Judy on the way home, it always made the drive seem that much shorter.
I thought that Mike Bullard Uncensored was a great addition to Laugh Attack and hope you would seriously consider returning it to the lineup.

**I pay my hard-earned money for XM radio. I never thought that I would ever pay for radio!!**

To whom it may concern,

I must comment on the recent cancellation of the “Mike Bullard Uncensored” show on Laugh Attack (XM’s Canadian Comedy channel). I bought a new car in October with a three month trial of XM radio. I found Channel 153 (Laugh Attack) almost immediately. I didn’t wish to change the channel, but it was too repetitious for me to listen to, and it forced me to change to other stations. When the Mike Bullard Uncensored program started, I was very pleased to hear something new from this station, every weekday. This show convinced me to subscribe to XM after my three-month free trial. IT WAS THAT SPECIAL.

I enjoyed the spontaneity and camaraderie of Mike, Judy and Lawrence; they kept each other humble and able to relate to any situation (or fan’s call-in) quickly. I appreciated the encore airings, as well. It helped break up the day’s programming…and has kept my XM radio glued to Channel 153 for 6 whole months. OK, so I had to go to the Fox Sports station to listen to the Bear’s playoff game one time, trying to get to my destination during a snow storm, but other than that…

A blogger (on XMfan.com) described the presence of the “Mike Bullard Uncensored” show quite well:
“I understand Canadian content is one of those dumb-ass requirements to get XM into Canada , but it'd be nice to hear more effort to make Canadian content worthwhile.”

My continued NON-STOP commitment to Channel 153 depends upon having that kind of effort paid to me. After hearing the floods of calls from the fans (during the show), I can only gather that I am not the only one who is thoroughly disappointed in this show being cancelled. Let me ask you this: Where is the line between saving money and getting ratings? Laugh Attack WILL lose ratings, starting with me! Did I mention that I have had my XM radio tuned to Channel 153 for 6 whole months? Did I mention that “Mike Bullard Uncensored” had EVERYTHING to do with my continued support to the station?

I just sent a protest to xm usa, it probably will go unanswered, they have the worst customer service in the world. I want to tell you how much I loved your program, Mike, Lawrence, and You did a great job. When I was in the car for extended hours, I would listen to all 4 hours. Please keep your public informed if something changes. I'll miss you!
Thanks for the last 4 months of entertainment and laughs.

Judy,

Hi. My name is chris ,I live in New Jersey and I am a Big fan of The Mike Bullard Show. Just wanted to say I am so sorry that bunch of knuckleheads cancelled the show. This may I have a trip planned to Toronto (may7th) and one of the places I wanted to go to was the radio studio and hopefully meet you and Mike. So much for that I guess. As a 3 year subscriber to xm I thought the show was the most entertaining by far..
Maybe you guys can go the Sirius side. If you guys start another radio could you please post it on your website. Thanks Take care.

Sincerely,
One pissed off xm subscriber

I'll spare you the frat boy antics and just ask: What the hell were you thinking?

You people screwed up big time. This show got me through my
125+mile-per-day commute to and from my job. Whatever I missed on the
way home I was able to pick up on the way in the next day. And now I
just hear the same comic bits over and over and over and over and over
and over again.

Thanks. Thanks for the memories, jackasses.

Judy:
I miss hearing you and Mike and Lawrence on XM. What the hell? What do we listeners have to do to get you back on the air?

I listened to you every day on the way home from work for an hour and would catch the second hour on the way to work the next morning. I think that you all are great and I miss you like crazy.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey Judy, I really miss you guys. After I found you one morning, I started to arrange my morning and evening commute to catch your show.

I have been a subscriber for over 4 years and have 4 accounts and this show was truly my bright spot during my commute. Please let me know if it is coming back to XM.

Good day.

As an XM subscriber, who thoroughly enjoyed the Mike Bullard Uncensored show, I feel obliged to express my utter discontent at the cancellation of this program. I really enjoyed the dynamic of Mike, Lawrence and Judy on the show and I urge you to resolve whatever issues you may have with Mike (or anyone else fort that matter) and get them back on the air.

As a Canadian, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the American fan base that they were able to create, and quite proud of them for doing so. It is not everyday that Canadian radio and/or television entertainers are able to successfully cross over into the American market, while being able to maintain a truly Canadian flavour.

Please get these three personalities back on the air, in their accustomed and aforementioned program. It is one of the shows that I wholeheartedly enjoyed on the Laugh Attack 153 channel.

Thank you for your time and consideration of my concern

Regards,

To whom it may concern,
I just wanted to express my disappointment on learning that the Mike Bullard Uncensored show has been cancelled. Just disappeared from the lineup!

I could only listen 45 minutes during the drive home from work and took 2 weeks to figure out that the show was not on vacation. I finally did a web search and figured it out. Poor service on XM's part. Guess I'll need to go back to FM radio for some good entertainment on the drive home.

One more thing .... I have 3 XM radios - That is 3 subscriptions!

To Whom it May Concern,

I would like to take a few minutes to express to you how disappointed that I am that ‘Mike Bullard Uncensored’ has been cancelled. I have been a XM radio since October 7, 2002. I have really enjoyed my XM and have multiple radios. I discovered Mike Bullard and enjoyed the show almost daily. When I couldn’t find Bullard Uncensored last week, I assumed it was because they were on vacation. This week, I assumed that the vacation was continuing. I started to call and ask why you were not running the ‘Best of Mike Bullard’ but I thought that I would just wait until next week and then catch up with Mike, Judy and Lawrence. When I discovered today that it has been canceled, I could not allow it to pass without sending you a note to state how truly disappointed that I was. Please know that my drive time has been impacted and my very vocal support of XM will suffer with this decision.

Anthony-Bentonville, AR

Judy

Until the Bullard shaft, I highly recommended and convinced many folks on XM radio. And I believe I happen to be a desirable demographic, besides LOADED
with spending money. Give the Bullard show back and I'll buy whatever XM is selling!!!

I LOVED your show!!!!!!!!!! I am so sorry to hear that I can’t hear you all on my hour+ commute. Your show what the most fun on XM or anywhere that I found. The other folks on the road seem a bit less nervous around me now that I’m not laughing like a lunatic alone in my car at 80 mph now. But I’m so very disappointed.

I’m sure that you will all land in a better opportunity with all the talent you three possess. Please add me to any mailing list you got ESPECIALLY if any or all of you do a gig in Las Vegas. I'll round up a posse and head on over!!

Best of luck to you!!

Hello,

I would like to voice my concern of the canceling of mike Bullard live on XM. This is a real shame and very frustrating for myself, I have been listening to it since I bought my new XM radio with the intent on getting his show. But now that it is off I will be canceling my satellite radio. I am very disappointed in the way it was done all quite like and I think that is really unfair to the listeners!!!! What the hell is wrong with you guys, he had a show that was better than Stern ever was!!!!!! I have been watching Mike since his days on the comedy tour. The chemistry that all three had was electrifying. If there is a way, please get them back so I can keep my XM radio!!!!!

Thanks

At first I thought perhaps they were on vacation for a week. The second week I started searching on the internet, and now understand the show was canceled. Judy,

in february i got xm free for 3months in my new vehicle. i discovered your show shortly thereafter. i would tell anyone who would listen about you guys. the funniest show! i could not wait 'til 5pm to run out to my car to listen.

You've been cancelled? You've got to be friggin' kidding me. seriously, my hubby asked if i would want to subscribe to xm and i said that i wouldn't except for the mike bullard show. i thought your show alone was worth the $$$$. their loss. actually, i guess it's my loss too.

Thais-Allentown PA

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a quick note to let you know how sorry I am to find out that you
guys got downsized (yecch!), but after a week off the air I started to
suspect something. I first heard you by accident when Laugh Attack
played your "pilot," and have been a devoted fan ever since. I was one of
those annoying people who called relentlessly in your first couple of
weeks, and have the proud distinction of being one of, I believe, two
people to lose to Mike in "Rock, Paper, Scissors," though I expect the fix
was in.

Anyway, I'll miss hearing all of you each morning, afternoon, whatever
commute and I feel privileged to have been lucky enough to hear most of
the shows when you were on. I'll keep an ear out for all of you in the
future. And if any of you ever appear in the New York, New Jersey area,
please email me as I'd love to attend. And if there's anything we, the
listeners, can do to petition XM to get you back on, please also let me
know.

Again, sorry you're no longer part of my daily routine!

Warmest regards,

To whom is may concern,

I was extremely saddened this afternoon when I got into my car after a
long days work only to find out that the Mike Bullard Uncensored was not on
today. As I drove home I remembered that that Friday had been a rerun
of another broadcast and I feared the worst. >When I got home I went on line and discovered that the show had been canceled. I understand that the reason was due to budget constraints.

I have seen many large corporations making colossal blunders in the name of “Budget
Constraints” only to have the opposite effect. I can’t help but believe that this is a mistake on the part of XM Radio.

It is rare to find good programming these days. I am usually disappointed with most programming these days and when I do find something that shows >some merit I am thrilled and I listen without fail. Mike Bullard Uncensored is one of these programs and it was the only reason I listened to Laugh Attack in the first place. I was listening to XM Comedy for a couple of months but I became irritated with the increase in commercials and the repetitive nature of the bits that are run. So in looking for something else I found Laugh Attack as I was driving into work. Imagine my surprise when I was driving home and heard Mike’s show. I knew that there would be something different and entertaining each and every day. It became the something that I found myself looking forward to as the day went on. The afternoon show had become the only reason I listened to the channel as I found out that I guess I had heard every comedy bit that that channel has to offer within a month.

So I am looking for something else to take up the hours I spend on the road throughout the work week. From what I am hearing, I don’t think I will be successful. I have to tell you that With the course you are on, I do not believe I will be renewing my subscription to XM. I see no point in spending the money for something that I can not count on consistent programming.

Thank you both for your time.
Robert

Judy - I just want to tell you that I am so very sad that I will not be able to hear you all anymore on XM . I just in the past month or so discovered you and you all have made my drive home everyday so enjoyable. I sometimes don't understand the economics of everything , but I do know that there is a big empty spot now that you three are not on XM anymore. Hopefully in the future maybe things will change and I'll be able to hear you again.

In the mean time , I'll drink a Molson for you and wish you all the best in whatever else you do .....

I just wanted to send a quick note to say I'm highly
disappointed in the news I'm reading about Mike
Bullard's XM show being canceled. I had only recently
discovered it but I quickly became a regular listener
during my commutes to and from work. On the East
Coast, I had almost perfect timing to catch the first
hour live and then listen to the rebroadcast of the
second hour the next morning.

I understand that the pending Sirius purchase has
budgets in turmoil however the thought of Howard
Stern's bloated and asinine contract forcing other
talent off the air galls me. I'm sure you will say
there is no correlation but it's hard to deny the
numbers dangled in front of H.S. to move his stale,
unfunny and largely repetitive material to satellite.
Surely that plays into this somewhere.

Sincerely,

Keith

THIS IS $$##%^&@ UP!!!!

I really hate this because now I have nothing to

actually interacted with its listeners and I liked
that. Not to mention that fact that yall were funny

full reason of that most abrupt cancelation, but I
hope to hear from you, Mike, and Lawrence again. Take
care. :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Sirs,

I must express my disappointment with XM Satellite Radio for its decision to cancel Mike Bullard Uncensored on XM Laugh Attack 153. I believe I speak for thousands of listeners who believe that it was one of the brightest spots on Laugh Attack's programming lineup. Alas, aside from a few names, Canadian comedy has a few stars and Bullard, with his quick quips and wit, is one of the few that I would say is a Canadian comedy star. The playful banter and antics of the trio, plus the sketch comedy of "Scott the Security Guard" made my drive home from work (87 kms and over an hour) a pleasant task.

I actually looked forward to listening to the show and laughed out loud harder at them more than at anything I've heard in a long time. I truly believe that the show was a major reason, if not the only one, to listen to Laugh Attack. Frankly, the rest of the material on the channel is quite thin and oft repeated. If XM can somehow keep banality like Opie and Andy on the air, then surely there can be some way to keep something more cerebral and Canadian like Mike Bullard Uncensored going.

To be quite frank, after their cancellation, there isn't much reason to listen to Laugh Attack.

A faithful XM subscriber,
Rob -Calgary

Judy,

I can't believe they pulled your show. I thought you guys were the most entertaining show on XM radio. I told all my friends and family to get XM radio just to hear you! I feel like I have lost three friends. I wish you all the best in the future.

I also would l ike you to know that I sent the message belowto XM radio.

Two days ago I renewed my subscription to XM radio for two years. The main reason for the renewal was Mike Bullard Uncensored. I will be cancelling my subscription because I no longer have a reason to pay for satellite radio. I will listen to FM radio from now on. Maybe one day, Mike, Lawrence, and Judy will show up on one of those stations!

Hi Judy,

I just got an XM receiver in my bus a few months ago and really enjoyed listening to you guys on the way home every evening. What am I going to listen to now? The three of you had such chemistry and I will really miss you on the ride home. I know people would think I was losing it because I would be laughing all the way home!

Does this have anything to do with the XM/Sirius merger?

Please let me know if there are any plans to resurface somewhere else.

GOOD LUCK!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Judy,
I was a listener to your show with Mike Bullard and Lawrence Morgenstern. I happened to catch the show shortly after you debuted in November. Because of the schedule, I enjoyed your show on my way to work, and on the way home. It started and ended my day on a great note, and we all need some stress relief before and after work. I was shocked, and dismayed when I tuned to XM 153 Monday morning to catch the last half of friday's show to hear that is was not on. No explanations, no postings on xm.com, no nothing! It took some digging while I was here at work to find the article in the Toronto Sun dated 3/6.

I also looked for a website for Mike and Lawrence to post my support, but I could not find one. I imagine you are passing this information to your cohorts on the show, and I want you to know that because of this, I am cancelling my subscription to XM, and will inform the reason as to why when I do so this evening. I enjoyed the sense of family that was between you "three musketeers", and your show always gave me something to tune into on XM. I suprised myself when I learned that you guys were off the air, and it almost felt like I had lost a member of the family.

I wish all of you three the best of luck, and may just get my subcription back if they reinstate you guys on the show.

All my best,

I think that cancelling Mike Bullard Uncensored was the most Bold move your organisation could ever make because since I’ve been listening to Mike Bullard Uncensored I’ve enjoyed xm radio and now I’m thinking of not renewing my subscription to your service and I am sure that I will not be the only one.

Your organisation thought to cancel Mike Bullard but keep garbage like Opie and Anthony on the air. I only have one word for that “STUPID”

I recently learned that Mike Bullard Uncensored was canceled. I am very disappointed with this decision as it is hands-down my favorite show on radio. Before subscribing to XM, I had listened the Howard Stern's and Anthony and Opie's of the world, not because I found them entertaining and funny, but simply because they were better than the alternatives. This was not the case with Mike Bullard Uncensored. I would find myself looking forward to hearing it every single day, as the three hosts were hysterical, and the more they played off each other, the more entertaining the show was.

I read int the Toronto Sun that the reason for cancellation was financial concerns. I don't know much about that, but I do know that if the one and only thing I could listen to for my $12.95 a month was Mike Bullard Uncensored, I wouldn't hesitate a second to pay.

An extremely disappointed subscriber,

Steve

To whom it may concern,
I am deeply disappointed in XM for dropping the Mike
Bullard show. I looked forward to it every evening,
and again in the morning for the parts I missed. It
really had me hooked. I enjoyed Mike's boldness,
comments from Lawrence, and Judy's news and especially
her laugh. The show was current, funny, smart, and
even more than that, it was fresh. You didn't get the
same old stuff, copied from other shows.
I have had nothing but XM on my radio since the day I
got it. Drive time is critical to me and now you've
taken my favorite show away from that time slot. I may
have to go back to regular radio.
You guys made a mistake with this one.

To whom it may concern,
I was shocked and then pissed off when I didn't hear you all on the air Monday and Tuesday. Yesterday I did some google searching and finally found information say your show got canceled. I immediately sent an email to Dan turner telling him that I was canceling my XM subscription that night and wouldn't be back until the show was back on the air.

When I called to cancel, the man I spoke with offered me 3 free months to "explore other show options and find something else that would be suitable." I told him I'd take his free time, but if the show was still off the air when the free time lapsed, I was going to cancel anyway.

I called in the night that you all talked about the merger and crazy things that pets eat (My dog chews steak knives). I said then, and I still believe, that if you, Mike and Lawrence aren't on XM, then there's no reason for me to be a subscriber.

I hope to hear you all back on the air very soon.

Say it isn’t so!!
I can’t believe the show was cancelled and I am ready to take my XM radio back where it came from. I can't find anything else on XM that is entertaining, quick witted and full of laughs (without being TOO vulgar) that filled my afternoon commutes with a smile. Plus, you’re Canadian! What a bonus!
I am so sick of other talk shows catering to Americans and if I have to tune in to the Virus and count how many times I can hear the phrase “ball sack” I think I will go crazy. You guys were the perfect combination and I loved your style and sense of humour.
I’ll definitely miss listening and I have alerted the ‘powers-that-be’ of their major screw up.
Hope you’ll be back on and soon,
Christine in BC

I can't believe the show was cancelled! Your show was the only reason
I
bought the satellite radio service in the first place!

Please, let Mike and Lawrence know all the fans are gonna miss the show
and
I hope XM smartens up and brings you back soon.

Dan,

I have had XM radio for about 9 months now. I recently started listening to Mike Bullard Uncensored Show and tremendously enjoyed it. Before I started listening to this show, I was starting to wonder if my subscription to XM was worth the money. I found myself going back to the FM dial frequently. This show kept me very entertained on my drive home from work every day. I would greatly appreciate any efforts to return the show to the XM radio line up.

Thanks for your time,
Sara

Sorry to hear that the show was cancelled. I have only been a listner for the past month. But, I will miss the show deeply. It made my commute here in the San Francisco Bay Area a lot easier.

Hope to see/hear the three of you together again. Great chemistry.

Kevin

Dear Sirs,

I have been an XM Radio listener for several years. I am writing you
to
beg that you bring back the Mike Bullard Uncensored radio show! I
listen to it religiously whenever I am in my car. It is refreshing,
funny and in touch with the events of today. If there's anything I can
do to get the show back on the air, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Lawrence – Washington, DC

I wish to express my disappointment of the cancellation of Mike Bullard
Uncensored. My trial period for XM ended at the end of February and I
signed
on with XM primarily for this show. I will probably cancel my
subscription
soon.

My condolences.....I first clicked on the show about a month ago driving my son to the chiropractor in rush hour traffic and ended up staying in the car while he had his appointment.

Damn you guys I had to take the Delphi Roady unit into the house and plug it into the home adapter kit. Many a time I left it in the house to listen to the program from 4-6 ( central time zone).

I got addicted early and marvelled at the original fresh and most favourable comments by listeners ( mostly American ) which was amazing.

I am in shock literally and thought with the two unsuccessful CTV and Global TV programming Mike had finally found his nitch with an original dynamic show no holes barred.

Whether this was dumb ass Canadian Management trying to get concessions from the American XM operation to cover your shows expenses or justification that the Canadian listening audience was diminutive to the US established listener base is conjecture on my part but was sure an effective loss leader to get XM Canada established in the market place.

What a bunch of idiots management is. I had my suspicions with the 1-3 years long term commitment offers with reduced fees they offered and I guess my hunch was right. No soon was the deadline reached and the sheep herded into the coral that the show was Terminated.

I just hope there is enough backlash that the idiot decision is reversed. What a loss..

XM programmers are truly a huge bunch of boneheads.

I can't even look at my XM radio anymore - it disgusts me.

I absolutely adored you guys and thought you all made a fantastic bunch! Keep up the great work and I hope you guys pull off another show..I'll be there to back you up!
Now what an I going to listen to without falling asleep on my way to/from work? Oh well…I know all of you will keep on going strong….

Take care,
Just another bummed out listener,

I cannot BELIEVE you guys cancelled the Mike Bullard show. It was the single most enjoyable thing on the non-music channels.

I'll also be encouraging my congressman to do what he can to block the XM/Sirius merger. Quite obviously an absence of competition in satellite radio is NOT a good thing.

What the heck are you doing with my subscription money??? I loved listening to Mike Bullard when I was driving home every day.

Why have you cancelled him???

I can't believe it and quite frankly I'm pee'd right off. In fact I'm mad enough to cancel my XM subscription.

I was even busy reading up so I could become the next reigning brain for god's sake.

If you think you can fob me off with that crappy Yuk Yuks junk that you were playing today then think again. Bring back Mike (and Lawrence and Judy).

Judy let me know when you all surface elsewhere (because I know you will). Do a Podcast until you get another gig. I'll subscribe for sure.

Judy,

Sorry to hear you guys were cancelled. You were the 1 reason I subscribed to XM.
Hopefully, another staion will take you guys on. I really looked forward to your daily show.

Hi Judy!

I am a long time listener of xm radio. I used to listen to Tom Lykis out of LA via Seattle FM radio. That was cancelled and or moved to a pre recorded broadcast. So then I buy an xm radio. Not that good, but OK. After 2 years of withdrawal, I finally find a equally entertaining show-Yours and Mike's! What the hell happened? If xm wants to keep subscribers they will have to provide content not available on FM. You and Mike provided that. I especially liked when you did your segment while stuck in traffic in a snow storm. Then POOF! your gone.I only listen to xm 150 and xm 153 because I need to laugh and frankly, most of the top forty I can listen to locally. You, Mike, and Lawrence made my day every day while I wound down at work (2pm to 4pm pst). Shame. I hope that things work out in the end.

Anyway, great show. I just wish they had properly promoted you guys ( I found it by accident) and given it a chance.

Yours Truly,
Sean - Victoria, BC

Judy

miss U guys on XM 153. Twice a month I drive from Calgary to Medicine Hat, Alberta (3Hours) I usually had a smile on my face the whole trip listening to the show. Bummer. now all we get are those boring repeats on 153. I sent an email to Ross Davies saying I may not renew my XM Subscription.
